Reviewer's Guidance

The UVP-report is a peer-reviewed journal on environmental precaution, planning and assessment published by the UVP-Gesellschaft e.V.. The UVP-report publishes articles in German and English.

In a “single-blind review”, the authors' identities are disclosed to the reviewers, but the anonymity of the reviewers vis-à-vis the authors is guaranteed.

The purpose of reviewing manuscripts is to ensure the quality of scientific publications in the UVP-report. Evaluation criteria include:

  • Topicality and originality of the subject,

  • Relevance of the subject,

  • Approach and methodology,

  • Traceability and conclusiveness of the results,

  • Style and comprehensibility,

  • Visualisation,

  • Citations and references

  • Length,

  • Abstract.

Please rate the criteria in the evaluation form on a 5-point scale and add notes as necessary.

The review should be unbiased. If you have worked closely with at least one author on projects or publications in the last three years or if you have been or are economically dependent on them, please return the review and declare yourself biased.

Please do not contact an author directly about the manuscript to be reviewed without prior consultation with the editor.
