Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text files are uploaded as Open Document Format (ODF, .odt) or as proprietary Microsoft Word Format (.docx). Figures arre uploaded as PDF.
  • References include DOIs, URNs or URLs as far as possiblle.
  • In the text, titles and headings are formatted as such, standard paragraphs are left-justified, single-spaced, characters are italicised where appropriate, not bolded, coloured or underlined (except for URLs). Tables and boxes as well as figures (photos, maps,ö graphics) are stored in separate files (not embedded in the text).
  • The text follows the stylistic, bibliographical and other guidelines in the Guidelines for Authors.
  • The article is previously unpublished and has not been submitted to any other journal or publisher (otherwise an explanation is attached in "Comments to the Editor").
  • The Autor Agreement has been signed by the corresponding author and uploaded.
